Troubleshooting Voice

Fax, Credit Card & Modem
1) Make sure all connections are secure (phone line and power cord)
2) To test jack, plug-in a telephone and attempt to establish dial tone. Note - an analog phone is required, not a PBX-based phone)
3) To test your equipment, use a replacement, if available to see if the same problem occurs.
4) If trouble still persists, call 888-950-2100 for the Technical Assistance Center. If possible, be prepared to provide the phone number of the line with the trouble to the TAC Representative.

Static
Determing if the static is occurring on more than one phone line
1) Replace phone
2) Transfer call to another phone
3) Pick-up the same phone line on another phone.
If problem still exists or exists on all phone lines, call 888-950-2100 for the Technical Assistance Center. If possible, be able to provide the following information:
1) Is static intermittent or does it occur on every call?
2) Is static on all phone lines or just one line?
3) What phone numbers are affected?
4) What is the type of static? Popping, cracking, loud hiss?

No Dial Tone
1) Make sure all connections are secure (phone line and power cord)

Problems With Volume
1) Make sure you have adjusted volume setting on your phone and/or headset.
2) Attempt to use a replacement phone and/or headset to determine if your equipment is the issue.
3) Determine if the trouble only occurs on one line or all lines in your office.
4) If trouble still persists, call 888-950-2100 for the Technical Assistance Center. If possible, be prepared to provide the phone number of the line(s) to the TAC Representative.
